About Tim

Timothy Hartigan, Ph.D. is the owner of TJH5Consulting, which provides an array of services to help students, teachers, administrators and educational institutions. Since its founding in 1999, Tim has worked with clients in a variety of settings. His featured services are developmental faculty coaching, executive ESL/EFL training and copyediting of dissertations and other scholarly documents. In addition, other services include curriculum development, conducting research for businesses and helping them understand the knowledge economy.

The motto of TJH5Consulting is “language and learning.” Tim has worked with over 100 faculty in the humanities, social sciences and sciences as a developmental faculty coach. Each year, Tim works with about 10 scholars and doctoral students on their writing. In 2022, Tim finished up a year of teaching online at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, teaching undergraduate students English as a Foreign Language.

Tim has taught at higher education institutions in Belarus, Sweden and Thailand. His bachelor’s degree is in English from Dartmouth College. His master’s degree in TESOL and doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration are from the University at Buffalo. He served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand.
